Iron Men-Men’s Ministry
"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Prov. 27:17).
Men! Would you agree that it is very difficult to understand what it means to be a man of God these days? I would like to invite you to be a part of what God is doing with the men of PGBC. Ways to connect with other men:
- Join a men's small group
- Attend our annual men's conference in January 2008
- Contact pastor Jonathan to have lunch, breakfast or an informal meeting at the church office to learn more about growing as a man of God (cell phone 706-202-2988).
- Join a sunday school at church to meet with men and women in bible study and fellowship (sunday school meets every Sunday morning at the church at 9:45am).
- Contact the pastor for Christian books and topics covered in the Bible that address a man's many needs.
From the pastor: Men! Whoever and wherever you are, I am committed to your growth in the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that this is one of my most important callings as pastor of PGBC. The Bible is crystal clear of our needs:
- We need Jesus
- We need other men who are believers in Jesus to help us live the Christian life.
I need other men for encouragement, support, to give me truth when I am living on feelings, and to help me to be strong in Christ. Biblical manhood is too important and challenging to attempt on our own. That is why He says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!"
I desire that no one will pity me nor the men who are in my life because pride has become more important than knowing Christ and growing in Him. How about you?
